Homework - From a Childs Perspective

As one of a group of keen but unskilled and learning photographers in Dubai have decided to set ourselves "homework" every fortnight to keep us snapping. This sessions topic is "From a Childs Perspective". Here are my offerings for Critique/slander:

"Spinning"
(f22 1/20 ISO 100)

"We've got a ceiling like this"
(f6.3 1/10 ISO1600)

"No, don't touch its hot"
(f3.8 1/8 ISO800)

Please feel free to add comments via the comments facility on the blog, all non-offensive criticism shall be welcomed. Offensive stuff will result in retaliation so be warned Bailey!!

OK Pictures repaired, should hopefully work now.

Bit of background:

"Spinning"
I was trying to get the effect of a child POV as you spin them around by their arms. If shot it again I'd probably put my arms a bit closer in so that they were perhaps a quarter in from each side of the frame. Oh, and I'd maybe smile so it looks like I am enjoying spinning the kid.....as I do enjoy such things....shortly followed by letting go.

"No,Don't touch that its hot"
The light in this shot isn't terribly good and the model does look rather cold and tired but what can you do, you have to work with what you have ;0)
Thought of the idea for the shot after a woman in teh cafe we were in spent the entire time telling her son to stop grabbing at things on the table while trying to hold converstation with the person sat next to her.

"We have a ceiling like this"
This is taken in the entrance to the fantastic Sydney State Thearte which is a fantastic art deco building. I loved the ceiling and wanted to capture the explosion of colour that greats you as you walk in.....and unlike the likes of hte Burj Dubai, it some how manages to not be tacky.
I placed the camera on a 10second timer so that I could stand back with Imogen and look like we were looking down at the child, to whom we would appear giants. I used a 10mm lens so that I could capture as much of the ceiling as possible

Obviously great minds think alike and our slant on child looking up is very similar. Focus point in "don’t touch" is spot on and really like the "spinning" shot (nice to see clouds) but you’re right smiling would have helped the story. The ceiling is beautiful.

Spining around.
Nice, maybe a tall building high in the background to emphasise the low childs perspective. However the clouds and sky are amazing.

Don't touch its hot.
Hand gives a nice leading line.

Weve got a celing like this.
Like this one, looks like some real patterns in the ceiling
